Traditionally, a Geisha used rice bran for softening both herskin and her hair. She bathed her hair in the water where the rice was rinsed, before cooking. They were certainly using something powerful, as it turned out to be a powerful natural antioxidant and emollient. The rice helps to protect against UV damage. It is helping in preventing wrinkles and it nourishes your skin. If you want flawless complexion, you need to use rice.

Ingredients:

  • Rice – 2 to 3 tbsp
  • Honey – 1 tbsp
  • Milk – 1 tbsp

Preparation:

  • Put rice in a pan full with cold water and cook slowly on a medium heat.
  • Once it’s cooked, strain it and save the liquid.
  • The well boiled and drained rice needs to be washed in cold water. Add one tablespoon of warm milk to it and stir everything well.
  • Now, you should add 1 tbsp of honey.

Cleanse your face and neck and apply this as a mask. Allow it to stay on your face for around half an hour to one hour. Rinse it with the same liquid where the rice was cooking.

Additional Tips:

You can store the rice water in your fridge for up to four days and you may use it as a facial toner in the morning and evening. You can also freeze the liquid into ice molds and use it for massaging the face.
